Quick update

We are back after a long morning at Emanuel.  Grady was such a brave boy.  He is just the best baby in the world.  No offense to anyone with a baby.  Grady had two procedures today.  The first he had to be sedated for.  For that one, they pump him full of some liquid and then watch how quickly it goes through his system.  When we get the results from that, we will know how well each kidney is functioning.  We're rooting hard for over 25% on the right so we don't have to make any hard decisions about whether or not to keep the kidney.  The second was a repeat of the VCUG, which is a test which shows whether he has any reflux.  He still has none on the left side, and still has level 5 (worst) on the right.  So even if the right kidney stays in, I am fairly certain the doctor will recommend surgery to us when we meet with him on Tuesday in order to correct the reflux.  Grady has already given some very sweet smiles and is now resting after being deluged with milk upon his return home.
