Discovering Grady

Our little boy is starting to get more and more of a personality. He is becoming clearer about his likes and dislikes. For instance, he dislikes falling asleep. He doesn't mind being asleep, it's just the falling asleep process that he is not so fond of. There are so many things for him to discover out here, he can't be bothered to waste time sleeping! Today he discovered the little animals that hang off the top of his vibrating chair. Here is a picture of him in the chair from yesterday, pre-discovery of the animals.

Luckily for me, too bad for Matt, Grady has also asserted himself as a Red Sox fan this week, thanks to a gift from uncle Cliff. He does not seem to be too optimistic about this season, unfortunately.

Here's a shot of Grady contemplating whether or not to take Pedro out of the game.

It was vaguely suggested by my husband, but I refuse to do a comparison photo now to Don Zimmer.

For those that were worried, Besa also got some enjoyment out of Grady's Red Sox present. Luckily, the sweatshirt and hat had been removed.

She is still getting used to not being the exclusive center of attention.

Tomorrow Grady has his second date with Rose. Hopefully he will be in a slightly better mood tomorrow than he is today - I think the whole not wanting to sleep thing is wearing on him. The occasional smiles I'm getting from him now make up for his fussiness ten fold.
